THE ORIGINS OF OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Internships are based on developing trust between the academic institution and the employers, along with developing a reputation for strong student work within the professional community. The department’s internship program began by working with alumni and existing professional contacts. It expanded with the exposure given to our students through Senior Portfolio Night, and further expanded through the strong reputation developed by the work of our students during their internships and as working professionals after graduation. The results of our internship program have come full circle with recent graduates calling back to their Alma Mater seeking students for internship programs where they now work.
